RENTAL POLICIES

CREDIT CARDS
Credit cards are not accepted.  Please choose personal checks, cashier checks, or money orders made out to KAUAI OCEANFRONT PROPERTY.  All payments must be made in US Dollars.

DEPOSIT
To confirm your reservation, a security/damage deposit is due within 10 days of booking.  The deposit is $500.00 for up to one month of rental, and $500.00/month for any longer reservations.  This deposit is separate from the rent, and it will be refunded to you approximately 1 – 2 weeks after your departure.  Deducted from the deposit will be the cleaning fee, which varies with each cottage, and any charges for damages.

payment
Your payment in full is due 60 days prior to your arrival.  Personal checks, cashier’s checks or money orders are accepted in US Dollars only.

CANCELLATION
With more than 120 days written notice, your entire security deposit will be refunded.  If less that 120 days written notice, your deposit will be forfeited.  If less than 60 days written notice, the rent + tax will also be forfeited, unless the cottage can be re-rented during your time slot.  Partial refunds for partial rentals will be given.

KEYS
There is a lock box on the entry door to each cottage.  The lock box combination will be sent to you with your rent receipt.  There are additional keys for your use in the Cottage.  If the lock box key is missing, a $25.00 charge will be deducted from your security deposit.

FURNISHINGS
All the Pali Kai Cottages are completely furnished with linens, cooking/kitchen utensils, TV, DVD, washer and dryer and air conditioning.  If bed sizes are important to you, please check with me before reserving.

NO smoking
There is no smoking allowed in any of the Pali Kai Cottages.  Any indication of smoking will result in the loss of your security deposit.

DISCLAIMER
Every effort has been made to ensure that all appliances and equipment are in working order, and that the surrounding environment is as pleasing as possible.  In the event of an equipment breakdown, we will strive to repair or replace as soon as possible after being notified of the problem.  We cannot guarantee that TVs, electronics, appliances, etc. will not break down during your stay, and therefore no refunds or adjustments will be made for mechanical failure.  Also, we cannot take responsibility for any other unexpected situation beyond our control such as power outages, insects, weather, nearby construction, etc.  Thank you for your understanding.
